10月20日にオーストラリア野鳥の会によるシギ・チドリ渡り講習＆観察会が開かれる。（私は以前、同じような企画をケアンズ在住日本人向けに主催した事がある）
今回のは無料ながら朝から夕方までのちゃんとしたもので、私は仕事で行けないけど誰か興味がある人もいるかもしれないと思い原文のまま以下お知らせします。
Shorebirds – Threatened Little Wonders
Join us for a free workshop on shorebird migration,
identification and conservation in FNQ
BirdLife Australia is holding this workshop to introduce you to the special shorebirds of FNQ. Learn more about their 10,000 km trip to get here, the threats they face and how we can give them a helping hand.
This whole-day workshop is open to everyone interested in shorebirds and their protection. The workshop includes:
● A presentation by BirdLife Australia’s Shorebirds 2020 project manager on the feats of shorebird migration and the amazing adaptations of our resident shorebirds.
● A course and quiz to get you started or refreshed on shorebird ID and counting.
● A field trip to convince you that shorebirds don’t all look the same…
● A goodie bag with a starter kit to our nationwide monitoring program Shorebirds 2020.
● Refreshments and light lunch provided.
